MetLife Foundation awards grant to JA Azerbaijan

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. JA Azerbaijan has been awarded a grant from MetLife Foundation to translate JA Exploring Economics into Azerbaijani.

JA informs that the program teaches high school students about fundamental economic concepts and their effect on U.S. and global markets, the role government plays within a market economy, and how economic principles guide business decisions.

“MetLife Foundation provided major funding for development and implementation of JA Exploring Economics,” it was reported.

JA Exploring Economics helps students understand a complex subject using hands-on learning, which makes it engaging and accessible. Junior Achievement programs such as this one prepare students to compete effectively in the workforce and fully participate in a global economy.

Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. Through a dedicated volunteer network, Junior Achievement provides in-school and after-school programs for students which focus on three key content areas: work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

MetLife Foundation was established in 1976 by MetLife to carry on its longstanding tradition of corporate contributions and community involvement.
