Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Bank of America Merrill Lynch has carried out modeling of the effects of voluntary withdrawal from the eurozone for the member states.
Within its framework it was introduced "index of benefits from leaving the eurozone" - the higher it is, the harder are the consequences of the withdrawal, the lower it is the more are they profitable. This study analyzed the effects of the withdrawal on economic growth, yield of bonds and the balance of payments.
According to BofA Merrill Lynch’s estimates, the most severe consequences await Germany (index 8.5). It will also be hard for Astria, Finland, Belgium and even the crisis Spain.
Only Ireland and Italy, whose indices (3.5) is lower even than in Greece (5.3), will benefit.
It was investigated the potential for 11 out of the 17 eurozone countries.
