Alibaba shares fall amid concerns about Apple deal

May 19, Fineko/abc.az. The shares of Chinese technology company Alibaba declined by 4.8% on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange after reports about a review of the deal with Apple by the administration of US President Donald Trump.

ABC.AZ informs that the parties planned to integrate into the iPhone for the Chinese market, but the U.S. authorities expressed concern about the possible strengthening of Chinese AI technologies. Amid the news, Alibaba shares continued decline, which began earlier because of disappointing quarterly results.

Alibaba securities became the leaders of the decline in the Hang Seng China Enterprises index, which lost up to 1.4% during the day.
