June 2, Fineko/abc.az. The richest villages in Azerbaijan are located mainly in districts that have advantages in terms of oil and gas infrastructure, agriculture, business activity and geographical location.

According to ABC.AZ study, the villages and settlements listed below stand out from others in terms of economic development, although they do not officially have the status of the "richest village":

1. Nardaran (Absheron district) — proximity to Baku, the cost of land and country houses, most of the villagers live abroad and send currency to the country. There are sources of income in the field of construction and stone quarries.

2. Novkhani (Absheron district) — location by the sea and abundance of villas. There are many country houses of wealthy people here. The revival is mainly in the summer months, income is generated in the field of elite gardening and land sales.

3. Masazir (Absheron district) — nearby salt lake, new buildings and suburban development. The population is growing rapidly, there are large shopping facilities and residential complexes.

4. Buzovni and Mardakan (urban-type settlements) - not far from Baku, Khazar district. Villas by the sea, high land prices, an influx of tourists. The country houses of the most famous personalities are located here.

5. Ismayilli and some villages of Gabala district are located in mountainous areas. Development of tourism and agriculture, eco-farms and hotel business. Examples of villages: Laghich, Nick, Vandam (Gabala district), Baskal (Ismailli district)

6. Some villages in the Neftchala and Salyan districts, located in the lowlands. Fishing, oil and gas fields, agricultural products (especially rice and fish). Example of a village: Banka settlement (Neftchala district).
