June 11, Fineko/abc.az. Annual inflation in Azerbaijan corresponds to the projected trajectory.
ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that in April 2025, 12-month inflation was 6.3%, and monthly inflation was 0.3%.
The annual increase in prices for food and services was 7.6%, and for non-food products - 2.7%. Annual core inflation was 4.8%.
The CBA notes that in recent months, the uncertainty of external factors affecting inflation remains high.
“According to the International Monetary Fund, in April 2025, the commodity price index decreased by 1% month-on-month and by 4.6% year-on-year. The weighted average annual inflation among trading partners in April this year was 9.6% compared to the same month of last year,” the CBA informs.
The CBA notes that, taking into account internal and external factors, the forecast for annual inflation for 2025-2026 remains unchanged.
At the same time, the regulator emphasizes that reducing external factors of uncertainty in inflation may lead to a reduction in the discount rate.
