June 12, Fineko/abc.az. Google has expanded the compensation program for employees of key divisions in the U.S. for voluntary dismissal from the company.
ABC.AZ informs that by the way, this opportunity is now available to employees of DeepMind, Google Cloud, YouTube and the advertising department of the corporation.
Launched in 2025, the initiative was originally intended for division Platforms & Devices, including Pixel and Android, where a large-scale reduction took place in the spring. The minimum compensation for 14 weeks was offered to employees of individual departments, and the deadline for making a decision was set for July 1.
At that, Google is tightening the requirements for office work: starting in September, employees living within 80 km of the office must be present at the workplace at least three days a week. Failure to comply with the new rules may result in dismissal with severance pay.
According to Nick Fox, head of Knowledge & Information, the voluntary termination program is aimed at professionals who do not share the company's strategic priorities or experience difficulties in meeting the expectations of the position.
