June 17, Fineko/abc.az. As of May 1, 2025, the population of Azerbaijan was 10,236,227 people.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that since the beginning of 2025, the country's population has increased by 11,338 people, or 0.1%.

54.4% of the country's population are urban residents and 45.6% - rural residents, 49.8% are men and 50.2% - women.

To date, 3,721 families or 148,043 people have returned to the territories liberated from occupation.

Taking into account 1,150 students studying at Karabakh University, the total population in the occupation-liberated territories reached 48,209 people.
