June 19, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2025, the cost of transport services rendered by residents of Azerbaijan to non-residents reached $788.9 million, and the cost of transport services rendered by non-residents to residents of Azerbaijan - $460.6 million.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank, that 63.1% of transport services with total value of $1.2 billion related to the use of transport services by non-residents of Azerbaijan.

The total volume of services for Azerbaijan's economic relations with foreign countries for Q1 of 2025 reached $4.7 billion. Of them, $2.7 billion was provided by non-residents to residents of Azerbaijan, and $2 billion by residents of Azerbaijan to residents of foreign countries. As a whole, deficit in the balance of services increased by 36.3% to $700 million. Deficit in the balance of oil & gas sector services (mainly construction and other business services) amounted to $375.3 million. The deficit in the balance of services in the non-oil/gas sector totaled $377.5 million. 26.7% of the turnover of mutual services accounted for transport services operations.
