June 19, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2025, Azerbaijan exported 18,607 tons of sugar for $12.857 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that country’s sugar exports grew by $2.978 million or 30.1% in value and by 5,480 tons in quantity (by 41.7%) against Jan-May 2024.

For the 2024 same term, Azerbaijan exported 13,127 tons of sugar for $9.88 million.

During this period, the average export price of 1 kg of sugar exported by Azerbaijan was 1.17 manats. For the same term of 2024, this figure was 1.28 manats. This means a drop of 0.11 manats or 8.6% against Jan-May 2024.

This year, sugar made up 0.12% of overall exports and approx. 0.91% of exports from the non-oil sector.
