August 26, Fineko/abc.az. Oman has officially launched the “Golden Residency” program, aimed at attracting investors and business owners as part of the country’s broader efforts to diversify its economy and strengthen its investment landscape within the framework of Vision 2040. According to ABC.AZ, the mechanism developed by the Sultanate’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion provides long-term residency for applicants and is designed to enhance Oman’s competitiveness as an investment hub.
Currently, Oman offers two types of investment residency. Under the new system, investors can obtain a 10-year visa by investing at least 500,000 Omani rials in a limited liability company, a public joint-stock company, government bonds, or real estate. An alternative option is to establish a company employing at least 50 Omani citizens. The cost of such a visa is 551 rials.
