151 new state standards approved in 8 months

In January-August 2025, the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) under the State Agency for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of Consumer Market approved 151 new state standards in accordance with the priorities of the country's socio-economic development.

According to ABC.AZ with reference to AZSTAND, the largest share in the reporting period fell on the field of food technology and agriculture. In this area, 38 new standards were adopted.

Technical requirements for such types as canned goods, meat and dairy products, olives and olive oil, flour products and bottled drinking water have been updated and brought into specific definitions.

Nine standards for building materials have clarified the requirements for roofing materials, concrete and precast reinforced concrete elements.

In the field of information, telecommunications and electrical technologies, 27 documents were adopted on energy efficiency, testing methods for household appliances, geographic information systems and risk management frameworks in the field of artificial intelligence.
