Iran and ECO discuss development strategy until 2035

September 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Second National Forum of Iran and the Organization for Economic Cooperation (ECO) has opened in Tehran.

ABC.AZ reports that such main topics as development of intraregional communications, digital transformation and the long-term prospects of ECO until 2035 were discussed.

The Forum is taking place amid the desire of the countries of the region to strengthen economic integration and create alternative models of cooperation.

The adopted recommendations will be taken into account when forming a new development strategy for the Organization.

The Economic Cooperation Organization was founded in 1985 in Tehran by the leaders of Iran, Pakistan and Turkey, and has since become the most important Eurasian political and economic intergovernmental organization providing a platform for discussing ways to improve development and promote trade and investments.
