G7 countries discuss next sanctions against Russia

September 24, Fineko/abc.az. The foreign ministers of the G7 countries and the head of EU diplomacy discussed the introduction of new sanctions against Russia at the UN General Assembly.

ABC.AZ reports that the communique says that additional sanctions were discussed, including measures against third countries that help Moscow. The ministers also welcomed the discussion on the use of frozen funds from Russian assets to support Ukraine.

In addition, the G7 accused the Russian government of violating the airspace of Estonia, Poland and Romania and called such actions unacceptable.

Following the meeting, the ministers reaffirmed their commitment to achieving peace and ensuring reliable security guarantees for Ukraine.
