September 29, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2025, 593.752 million manats of premiums were collected in Azerbaijan due to life insurance.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the figure is 18.2% more versus Jan-Aug 2024.

Life insurance payments increased by 28.2% and reached 427.189 million manats.

Thus, for the past 8 months, 71.9 manats out of every 100 manat of premiums collected at the life insurance market were returned to customers. 1 year ago, this figure was 66.3 manats.

For Jan-Aug 2025, 1.48 bn manats of premiums were gathered by 16 insurance companies in Azerbaijan (12.9% more versus Jan-Aug 2024).

The amount of payments made by the insurers for Jan-Aug 2025 totaled 603.414 million manats (21.1% more than a year ago). For the first 8 months of this year, 57.6 manats out of every 100 manats of premiums collected at the insurance market were paid (Jan-Aug 2024: 53.7 manats).
