October 2, Fineko/abc.az. NASA plans to build the first "village" on the Moon by 2035, ABC.AZ reports that, quoting the acting head of the department, Sean Duffy, during his speech in Sydney.

Duffy stressed that NASA plans to create "sustainable living conditions for people on the moon".

According to Duffy, the organization plans to use atomic energy to ensure the life of the settlement. For example, a reactor weighing less than 15 tons will be capable of producing 100 kW of electricity.

It is emphasized that the settlement will have to constantly receive astronauts. According to preliminary plans, it will be built from materials found on the surface of the moon.
