October 3, Fineko/abc.az. Strengthening of competitiveness, introduction of technologies and growth of international prestige play an important role in economic growth of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov made this statement at the II National Competition Forum in Baku.

He noted that Azerbaijan is experiencing technological modernization of the economy and an increase in competitiveness.

"As a result, favorable conditions are being created for both local and foreign investors, and growing interest in Azerbaijan's economy opens up new opportunities for regional development. The main driving force of market economy is competition. From angle of economics, supply and demand are formed properly only when there is competition. And innovations and productivity are made possible precisely by ensuring healthy competitive environment," Jabbarov added.
