Importance of opening the Zangezur corridor discussed in Kazakhstan

October 3, Fineko/abc.az. The International Association of Automobile Carriers of Azerbaijan (ABADA) participated in the VII International Transport & Logistics Business Forum, held as part of the Transport Week in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

ABC.AZ informs that the head of ABADA, Habib Hasanov, who participated in the panel sessions of the event, spoke on the topic “International road transport: new opportunities for road transport services”.

ABADA’s head informed the forum participants in detail about the prospects of Azerbaijan's carriers, the possibilities of the Middle Corridor, importance of opening the Zangezur corridor, international cooperation, and transit strategies. He said that regulatory and legal reforms and simplification of customs procedures, digitalization, and the one-stop-shop principle will accelerate road transportation.

Hasanov also touched upon the role of associations in international cooperation and ABADA's prospects in this area. Azerbaijan was represented at the event by Deputy Minister of Digital Development & Transport Rahman Gummetov.
