October 7, Fineko/abc.az. Transition to green and digital economy remains a priority for the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the OTS Turkic Economic Review for Q2 of 2025.
Kazakhstan allocated $3.2 billion for renewable energy projects in 2025. These projects include solar and wind energy. Uzbekistan, on the other hand, has raised $1 billion to finance sustainable infrastructure projects through green bonds. By accelerating investments in the field of green energy and digital infrastructure, Azerbaijan pays special attention to development of intelligent management and e-government services.
In addition, digital transformation is also a high priority. Kazakhstan's digital economy accounts for 9.2% of GDP in 2025, while Turkey has made progress on smart city initiatives. Transformational smart cities and villages are developing in Azerbaijan, in the Zangezur and Karabakh economic zones.
