October 8, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Businesses (KOBIA) and Turkey's Bilişim Vadisi Technopark are planning joint cooperation in the field of "green transition".
ABC.AZ informs that the general manager at Bilişim Vadisi, Erkam Tuzgen, said this at the II Azerbaijan Halal Business Forum (AZHAB).
According to Tuzgen, KOBIA and Bilişim Vadisi signed a cooperation agreement yesterday.
"We also have partnerships with other institutions in Azerbaijan, and I hope that this cooperation will continue to expand.
Tuzgen noted that Bilişim Vadisi is Turkey's largest technology park: "We are a Center of Innovations. Startups and SMEs are not only the backbone of the economy, but are also one of the strongest driving forces behind the green transition. Their flexibility and innovative potential accelerate this process. Our goal is to combine SMEs with international opportunities and integrate them into the global innovation ecosystem."
He stressed that although SMEs and start-ups make a great contribution to the global economy, their activities often remain at the local level: "The Baku Declaration draws attention to this issue. We must create platforms to promote them globally. Especially in the field of clean energy and mobility, cooperation between small innovators and large companies further accelerates innovation. Thus, a startup can gradually transform from a local player into an international one."
Tuzgen added that SMEs and startups should participate not only in economic processes, but also in shaping global strategies: «Bilişim Vadisi participates in the G20 Startup20 initiative. Through such platforms, small and medium-sized businesses should be mentioned in global climate discussions. As they integrate into the markets, they become key players in sustainable development."
