October 8, Fineko/abc.az. Residents of the villages of Garakyazimli, Sarkhanli, Moranli, Zarbali and Dalali in Jalilabad region are suffering from shortage of natural gas.
ABC.AZ reports that residents who contacted the Mugan Bureau informed that the problem affects a total of close to 5,000 people.
"Our villages are located in the foothill area, around 35 km from the district center. During the harsh winter months, we have to use mostly firewood and liquefied natural gas to provide fuel and heat. There are no more trees left in the gardens for chopping, we have to buy firewood. Currently, 1 cu m of firewood costs approx. 25 manats, which means additional costs. It is amazing that a gas pipeline has been installed in the neighboring village of Gulmammedli, but for some reason our five villages are still without gas," they said.
Residents stated that they had repeatedly contacted the relevant authorities on this issue, but so far they have not achieved positive results.
