October 10, Fineko/abc.az. The Government of Azerbaijan implements the concept of "double transformation".

ABC.AZ reports that Minister of Digital Development & Transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev made this statement when delivering speech at the Global Gateway conference in Brussels.

"This combines traditional transport corridors with modern digital solutions that ensure transparency and trust between supply chain participants. Azerbaijan has created an integrated multimodal transport system connecting rail, road, sea and air routes. The Baku International Seaport in Alat, which is the largest hub in the Caspian Sea and plays a strategic role in the development of the middle corridor, has become its central element," Nabiyev said.

He stressed that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway (BTK), which is the main ring route connecting China, Central Asia, the South Caucasus and Europe, is of particular importance: "Recently, the government of the country allocated extra $100 million to expand the capacity of the BTK. This will allow for a significant increase in traffic volumes in the coming years."
