October 14, Fineko/abc.az. The first stage of the restoration of Lachin district has been completed over the past 3 years, which has turned it into a center for international cooperation and cultural dialogue.

ABC.AZ informs that president’s special representative in Lachin, Masim Mammadov, made this statement at the 30th anniversary exhibition Baku Build – 2025 and the 5th exhibition Rebuild Karabakh – 2025 in Baku.

He added that during this period, 3 new settlements and 3 villages were built, more than 30 new enterprises, an international airport and a hotel complex were commissioned.

"Of course, this is only a small part of the global projects,» Mammadov emphasized.

In addition, he noted that steps are being taken to form tourism infrastructure: "This includes the construction of a hotel, as well as a modern cable car. All this will be able to increase the tourism potential of the region and its attractiveness in the future."

Mammadov also stressed that Lachin has already become a center of international cooperation and cultural dialogue. It received the status of the Cultural Capital of the CIS in 2025 and is successfully implementing this mission. At the end of November, there will be a big gala concert dedicated to the closing ceremony of this event.
