October 16, Fineko/abc.az. According to forecasts, the ratio of State Budget deficit to GDP will be 2.3% in 2026 and decrease to 2% in 2029.

ABC.AZ reports that information about this is reflected in the medium-term expenditures announced by the Ministry of Finance for the next 4 years.

The upper limit of State Budget deficit in 2026 is projected at 3.94 bn manats, and in the next three years - 3.127 bn manats, 3.558 bn manats and 3.23 bn manats, respectively.

State Budget deficit, as in previous years, is provided for by proceeds from privatization, proceeds from borrowings (external and internal) and the balance on the Single Treasury Account.

Since appropriate procedures have already been initiated to attract external debt from international financial institutions to finance projects in a number of priority areas, the attracted credit funds under the signed debt agreements will contribute to increasing the share of the deficit in the source of financing.

The projected consolidated budget deficit in 2026 is 3.87 bn manats in 2029 is expected to reach 1.759 bn manats.
