October 16, Fineko/abc.az. According to forecasts presented by the Ministry of Economy in August this year, by the end of 2026, GDP will amount to 134.1 bn manats, including non-oil/gas GDP of 101.7 bn manats, and in 2029, GDP will grow up to 161.8 bn manats, including non-oil/gas GDP will increase up to 129.5 bn manats.

ABC.AZ informs that this is reflected in the medium-term expenditures for the next 4 years announced by the Ministry of Finance.

It is predicted that real GDP growth rate in the medium term will average 3.5% per year, and non-oil/gas GDP - 4.9%. According to forecasts, in 2029 the share of the non-oil/gas sector in GDP structure will increase and reach 80%.

In the baseline scenario, it was assumed that the average annual export price of a barrel of oil would be $65 for 2026 and would remain the same for 2027-2029. Investments in fixed assets are projected to grow by 6.9% in 2026 and by 3.9% year-on-year in the medium term. Capital investments in the oil & gas sector are projected to grow in 2026-2027.
