November 4, Fineko/abc.az. The share of Azerbaijan's private sector in tax revenues from the non-oil/gas sector has exceeded 77%.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov stated this during the discussion of the Draft Law on State Budget 2026 in the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

The minister pointed out that in the first 9 months of 2025, tax revenues from the private non-oil/gas sector increased more than by 10%, and the share of the private sector exceeded 77%.

"It is important that economic growth is provided precisely by the non-oil sector, which has become the main source of tax revenues and fiscal burden. This is a key factor that must be taken into account when shaping future economic policy," he added.

Jabbarov added that along with tax revenues, there is an increase in income from compulsory social insurance. For the first 9 months of this year, the collection plan for compulsory state social insurance was fulfilled at the level of 107.6%, their actual volume amounted to 4.7 billion manats (12% more versus Jan-Sept 2024).
