November 6, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union is considering the possibility of stopping the issuance of Schengen multivisa visas to Russian citizens this week.

ABC.AZ informs that Politico reports about this, referring to unnamed European officials.

"The EU is preparing to further tighten visa rules for Russian citizens, effectively ending the issuance of multiple entry permits to the Schengen area in most cases," the publication says.

This means, the source explains, that Russian citizens will be issued visas only for one-time entry. The exception will be cases due to humanitarian reasons or the presence of EU citizenship. It is assumed that the new rules will take effect in the coming days.
