November 6, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2025, BP-Azerbaijan extracted 21 bcm of gas from Shah Deniz field (a rise of 5% versus Jan-Sept 2024) and produced more than 3 million tons of condensate [approx. 24 million barrels], ABC.AZ informs, referring to BP’s report on the results of operations in Azerbaijan for Jan-Sept 2025.
More than 3 million tons of condensate [approx. 24 million barrels] were also produced from Shah Deniz field for Jan-Sept 2025, which corresponds to the 2024 same term.
"Currently, the field's production capacity is nearly 75.7 million cu m per day, or close to 27.6 bcm a year," the company noted.
The contract for development of Shah Deniz field was signed in Baku on June 4, 1996 and ratified by the Milli Majlis on October 17 of the same year.
Shah Deniz Project stakes: BP (operator - 29.99%), LUKOIL (19.99%), TPAO (19%), NICO (10%) and Cenub Qaz Dehlizi CJSC (16.02%), MVM (5%)
