November 7, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan does not intend to cancel tax benefits fully, new types of tax breaks are being introduced.

ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Alekperov made this statement at Milli Majlis committees’ joint meeting on the Draft State Budget for 2026.

"We would like to reiterate that there is no question of canceling tax benefits. The point is that tax incentives are introduced all over the world, including Azerbaijan, for a certain period of time. In Azerbaijan, the income tax benefit was valid for 7 years, and this period has ended. Instead, a new type of tax relief is being introduced."

He explained that citizens with salaries of up to 2,500 manats, who previously paid 14% of income tax, will pay only 3% starting from next year.

"There are quite a lot of people in the country whose salary does not exceed 2,500 manats. Therefore, 3% is a small indicator, but it is important to carry out extensive explanatory work among the population," the deputy minister stressed.
