Baidu presents AI chips

November 14, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese Internet giant Baidu Inc. has presented two new AI chips during its annual developer event, ABC.AZ informs, referring to The Wall Street Journal.

M100 chip was developed by its former division Kunlunxin and is designed primarily for large-scale operation of AI models. Its launch is scheduled for next year.

Meanwhile, in 2027, Baidu wants to release M300 chip, designed to train and operate AI models on an ultra-large scale.

The company aims to provide "powerful and low-cost computing power" to help businesses harness the potential of AI, said executive vice president Shen Dou.

In addition to the chips, Baidu has presented two new systems for their integration - Tianchi256 and Tianchi512. The performance of the first cluster is 1.5-fold higher than that of its previous clusters. Performance of the second one is expected to be even higher.
