November 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2025, consumer prices in Azerbaijan increased by 5.7% versus the 2024 same term, including prices for food, beverages and tobacco products by 6.9%, for non-food products by 2.6%, for paid services rendered to the population by 6.6%.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Statistics Committee, in October of this year, consumer prices grew by 5.5%, including for food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 8.2%, for non-food products by 2.5%, for paid services rendered to the population by 5.6% against October 2024.

Last month’s consumer prices increased by 0.5% and consumer prices for food, beverages and tobacco products by 0.8% compared with the previous month.

In October, a greater increase in individual food products is observed on buckwheat, beef and mutton, canned beef, fish and fish products, eggs, buttermilk, cottage cheese, cheese, butter, bananas, pears, hazelnuts, tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplants, table beets, carrots, potatoes, chocolate products, black and green tea, and a decrease in lemons, oranges, tangerines, apples, quince, pomegranates, dates, grapes, kiwi, walnuts, chestnuts, Greens, pumpkin, garlic, observed in the prices of onions. There have been no significant changes in prices for other food products.

Last month, consumer prices for non-food products increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month. A greater increase from non-food goods was seen in the prices of clothing, personal hygiene and jewelry, and a decrease in the prices of detergents and cleaning products. There have been no significant changes in prices for other non-food products.

In October, consumer prices for paid services to the population observed growth by 0.4% compared with September. The increase from the paid services rendered to the population was mainly observed on the prices of renting apartments, passenger services by metro, taxi, city and suburban bus transport, catering services rendered by restaurants and cafes, and decrease was recorded on the prices of international passenger services by air transport. There have been no significant changes in prices for other paid services.
