December 4, Fineko/abc.az. According to SIPRI data from December 1, five Turkish companies were included in the global ranking of the largest arms manufacturers.

ABC.AZ informs that in 2024, Turkey ranked 7th in terms of revenue growth and 11th in terms of total defense sector revenue, which reached $10.1 billion (+11% compared to last year).

ASELSAN became the leader among Turkish companies (47th place, $3.47 billion in sales). The list also includes TUSAŞ (65th), Baykar (73rd), Roketsan (87th) and, for the first time, MKE (93rd).

The growth of the sector is associated with a course towards technological independence and an increase in arms exports. Turkey has become a world leader in the production of drones, and the demand for Bayraktar has grown after their use in Syria, Libya, Karabakh and Ukraine.
