December 11, Fineko/abc.az. Creation and management of a new generation technology center is planned in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the Digital Economy Development Strategy 2026-29, approved by President Ilham Aliyev on December 10.
According to the document, mechanisms to support training and technology implementation will also be established.
The Center aims to attract at least 25 enterprises to training in the relevant field, annually increase the number of enterprises using digital transformation services, as well as continuously improve the number of enterprises that have undergone digital transformation and their competitiveness in their field of activity.
The purpose of the Center is to support the optimization of business processes using modern technologies, providing training and consulting services based on the "learn and transform" model. Based on the experience of the Turkish MEXT Digital Skills Center and the Singapore Digital Capability Center, labor productivity is expected to grow by 15-30%, and by 10-30% across the sector.
According to the Strategy, as a result of the introduction of new technologies, operational efficiency will increase by at least 5-10%, more than 2 data processing centers will operate in Azerbaijan in accordance with international standards, and in general, the share of the digital economy in non-oil GDP, as well as the share of the ICT sector, will steadily grow.
