ADB considers regional private sector development project with participation of Azerbaijan

December 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is considering a new regional technical assistance initiative for private sector development, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the ADB.

The initiative entitled "Private sector development: capital market reforms, efficient resource allocation and company development" covers more than 40 countries, including Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kiribati, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Niue, Pakistan, Palau, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, China, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Tonga, Turkey, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu and Vietnam.

The proposed technical assistance will be funded by $250,000 allocated from the ADB Special Technical Assistance Fund.

This initiative aims to study the impact of capital market reforms and the introduction of advanced digital technologies on the development of companies and the private sector as a whole.
