Kazakhstan sends Kashagan oil to China via overland route

12:30 - 12.12.2025

December 12, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan has decided to supply up to 50,000 tons of oil from the Kashagan field to China by land by the end of the year after damage to the facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) at the Black Sea terminal.

ABC.AZ informs that although the volume is small, direct overland shipments are of strategic importance, demonstrating the flexibility of export policy and the diversification of routes. In addition to China, Astana is considering alternative routes, including the Trans-Caspian route and the Baku–Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
