December 12, Fineko/abc.az. Scientists at Worcester Polytechnic Institute have developed "green concrete" that freezes in a day and absorbs carbon dioxide from the air.

ABC.AZ reports that the enzymatic material converts CO₂ into calcium carbonate by binding sand particles. ESM is durable, water-resistant, recyclable, and can be used for panels, blocks, and roofs. Even partial use reduces the carbon footprint of construction and makes housing more eco-friendly.
