December 17, Fineko/abc.az. As of December 1, 2025, 1,667,152 taxpayers were registered in Azerbaijan, (4.8% more than on December 1, 2024), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tax Service.

86.8% of taxpayers are individuals, while 13.2% - legal entities and other organizations. Over Jan-Nov 2025, the number of individual entrepreneurs increased by 4.5% and the number of departments, enterprises and organizations by 6.9%.

The number of registered commercial organizations at the end of November was 7.5% more than 1 year ago – 203,001. 92% of the commercial legal entities registered in the state register are limited liability companies (LLC), 1.1% - joint-stock companies, 1.1% - cooperatives, the rest are created in other organizational and legal forms.

In just 11 months of this year, 12,957 commercial organizations have passed state registration, of which 88.8% have local investments and 11.2% have foreign capital.

85.1% of commercial organizations were registered electronically. Over Jan-Nov 2025, the share of e-registration of LLC with local investments was 96.4%.
