January 14, Fineko/abc.az. Coca-Cola has curtailed the sale of the Costa Coffee chain, as investor proposals did not meet the expected valuation.

ABC.AZ informs that Coca-Cola expected to receive approx. 2 billion pounds for Costa, which is about half the 3.9 billion pounds that the company paid to acquire the business from Whitbread in 2018.

The issue of the sale may be reviewed later.

Costa, which has more than 2,700 locations across the UK and Ireland, is experiencing difficulties due to weak consumer spending and intense competition.
