January 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's banking sector has risen up to a historic high, significantly increasing its net profit in 2025. According to preliminary estimates, the total net profit in the sector amounted to 1.164 billion manats (around 120.2 million manats or 11.5% more against 2024 - 1.44 billion manats).

And in 2023, the net profit reached 1.76 billion manats.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the financial statements of the banks, all the banks that submitted the report ended the year with net profit.

Top 5 of the largest banks, bearing the main burden on the sector in terms of net profit, received a total of 921.28 million manats of net profit in 2025.

This figure represents a rise of 15% year-on-year. As a result, bank's share of Top 5 in sector's overall net profit grew up to 79%. While in 2024, this figure was at the level of 75%.
