January 19, Fineko/abc.az. Our country manufactured 587,000 tons of carbamide in 2025 (10% more than in 2024), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

As of January 1, 2025, 52,000 tons of finished product residues were formed.

Carbamide (nitrogen fertilizer) is produced at the SOCAR Karbamid plant in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park. The plant was commissioned on January 16, 2019, with capacity of 650,000-660,000 tons of urea a year with the use of 435 million cu m of natural gas as raw materials.

70% of the production volume is intended for export.
