February 2, Fineko/abc.az. The investment portfolio of Azerbaijan's only reinsurer, AzRe Təkrarığorta OJSC, has grown, but company's net investment profit has decreased year-on-year.

ABC.AZ reports that by the beginning of 2025, it increased by 26.1% year-on-year from 108.32 million manats to 136.6 million manats.

The growth of the portfolio was mainly due to the expansion of the placement of bonds, shares and deposits. The bond portfolio grew by 12.3% during the year, from 98.27 million manats up to 110.39 million manats. Investments in government bonds decreased by 6.6% from 80.45 million manats to 75.14 million manats, while non-government bonds almost doubled from 17.82 million manats to 35.25 million manats with an increase of 97.8%.

Investments in shares increased by 33.8% year-on-year from 9.80 million manats to 13.11 million manats and played an important role in diversifying the portfolio. The sharpest change was recorded in deposits. The deposit portfolio reached 13.1 million manats in early 2025, which is more than 50-fold more than in the previous year, when it was only 250,000 manats.
