February 4, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, a total of 5.76 billion manats of debt were repaid on Azerbaijani government bonds.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Ministry of Finance that 607 million manats were used from State Budget expenditures to pay interests and discount on government bonds during the year for service of the public debt.

As a result of measures taken to reduce refinancing risks and extend the average maturity of government bonds, government bonds with maturity of up to 3 years were repaid ahead of schedule and replaced with government bonds with a longer maturity. At the same time, as a result of the measures taken, interest rates on government bonds were cut.
