February 9, Fineko/abc.az. Alphabet (Google's parent company) intends to double capital expenditures in 2026 because of large-scale investments in computing power for artificial intelligence.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to company's statement during a conference call on the results of the 4th quarter, the investment volume will range from $175 billion up to $185 billion.

Most of those funds will be used to purchase and deploy computing power for AI: servers, data centers, and network equipment.

In 2025, Alphabet's capital expenditures totaled $91.5 billion.

The company explains growth in costs by the fact that investments in AI have already begun to make a profit.
