February 9, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has moved to the next stage of holding the annual meetings of the World Bank Group (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which will be held in 2029.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Ministry of Finance, that a document with our country's proposal on this issue was submitted to the WB and IMF secretariats in July 2025. At the preliminary stage, 4 countries out of 11 candidate countries - Azerbaijan, the UAE, China and Qatar - advanced to the next stage.
