February 9, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Nov 2025, Azerbaijan imported 8,667 tons of eggplants for $4.3 million from foreign countries (11% less versus the 2024 same term in value terms and 11% less in quantity), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Azerbaijan imported 8,154 tons of eggplants for $4.1 million from Iran (12% less than a year earlier), 512 tons for $259,000 from Turkey (a rise of 7%), and 0.01 tons for $200 from Japan.

Last year, import from Japan was carried out for the first time in the last 14 years (official statistical data of foreign trade in the public domain relates to the period up to 2011).
