February 11, Fineko/abc.az. The technical integration of mutual recognition of e-signatures and digital document management between Azerbaijan and Turkey has already been completed.

ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov made this statement at a forum in Baku.

According to Mammadov, joint work is currently underway to prepare the necessary regulatory framework to give the process full legal force. The deputy minister noted that Azerbaijan has identified digital transformation as one of the key priorities of state policy and is implementing large-scale reforms in this direction.

He said that within the Online Azerbaijan Project, broadband Internet access has already been provided in all villages of the country.

Mammadov stressed that last year the concept of digital development of the Azerbaijani economy was approved, forming a unified digital approach for citizens, business and the state.

"Within the concept, digitalization of public services, reducing the administrative burden on businesses and increasing the availability of services are among the priorities," he said.

He added that Azerbaijan's transition to a paperless government has already been completed: "This makes it possible to prevent the felling of about 5,700 trees annually."
