February 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has discussed the strategic goals of commercial banks operating in the country.

ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s governor Taleh Kazimov wrote about this on his page on X.

According to Kazimov, the CBA held its first meeting with the heads of commercial banks in 2026: "During the meeting, we discussed the results of banking sector's activities for 2025, development prospects, as well as the main structural and current challenges that may affect financial stability. We also talked about the implemented and planned measures to strengthen the sustainability of the sector, deepen financial intermediation and improve the regulatory framework. There was broad exchange of views on strategic goals for the current year, as well as on priorities for further strengthening regulatory and supervisory mechanisms."
