March 4, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan manufactured 42,900 tons of carbamide in January 2026 (29.9% less than in January 2025), ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

As of February 1, 2026, 43,000 tons of finished product residues were formed.

Carbamide (nitrogen fertilizer) is produced at the SOCAR Karbamid plant in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park. The enterprise was commissioned on January 16, 2019, with capacity of 650,000-660,000 tons of urea a year with the use of 435 million cu m of natural gas as raw materials. 70% of the output is intended for export.
