March 4, Fineko/abc.az. World Bank report "Women, Business & Law 2026" says that certain restrictions on women's work have been lifted in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ informs that in particular, the report says that countries' activities in the field of support mechanisms further deepen differences in legal equality.
The high-income countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) are the world leaders in this area with 73.04 points, followed by the Europe and Central Asia region with 55.61 points.
The persistence of indicators in other regions below the global average indicates the difficulties in the process of turning legal reforms into real implementation. The largest intraregional difference was recorded in East Asia and the Pacific region (73.27 points), and the smallest in Europe and Central Asia (30.23 points).
The Women, Business, and Law 2026 Report is an annual global study prepared by the World Bank Group that measures the impact of laws and regulations in 190 countries on women's economic opportunities, entrepreneurship, and employment. The report encourages reforms towards gender equality by analyzing the legal framework, support mechanisms such as safety and child care.
