March 5, Fineko/abc.az. The current economic growth rates do not match Azerbaijan's potential and do not satisfy us.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov stated about this when delivering speech at the forum on the theme "A look into the future of the tax system: a new management model and data-based solutions".

The minister noted that country's foreign exchange reserves, low level of public debt and fiscal indicators testify to the solid economic and financial foundations of Azerbaijan.

However, according to Jabbarov, the current economic growth rates do not fully reflect the real potential of country's economy.

He noted that therefore, the main goal of economic policy is to create new and more sustainable sources of economic growth. According to the minister, introduction of knowledge and technologies, widespread introduction of artificial intelligence and data-based decision-making mechanisms will create new opportunities for the innovative development of the economy.
