Gasoline prices in Germany exceed €2 per liter

March 5, Fineko/abc.az. The average price of E10 gasoline in Germany has exceeded €2 per liter, according to the ADAC automobile club.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the club, on the morning of March 5, the average cost of a liter of E10 was €2,003. Diesel fuel also continues to rise in price - up to €2,086 per liter.

Amid rising prices, the German federal government intends to check possible price collusion and warned oil companies about the inadmissibility of overstating the cost of fuel.

German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil said authorities would take action if companies tried to capitalize on the situation around Iran. In turn, the Prime Minister of Bremen, Andreas Bovenshulte, proposed to introduce a tax on excess profits of oil companies.

The German Ministry of Economy has already announced a price check for possible abuse.
